While some formed packs, most choice their own path. Those who choose to live by themselves, pack-less, sometimes companion-less, were the loners. The street trash of the canine society. They weren't all bad, some dogs preferred to be alone, some either lost or exiled, and sometimes simple house pets were referred as them too.
But the name nobodies weren't enough, most called them "the dirtbags".
They who choice to live against the packs rule were nothing. Forever will the natives be in a constant struggle with the dirtbags. Trying to wipe out there "imperfectness". Wanting a perfect balance of law in the city, and hoping, one day, to take on the humans. While the dirtbags want nothing to do with them, they have no choice but to defend themselves.
Living anywhere, the dirtbag life is simple. Follow your own rules and live life to your own liking. Some like the cozy life of a house-pet, while others liked the fresh air. Most live alone , due to the fact they get nervous in large numbers. But some dogs join small private groups called "cults"; very little is known about there lifestyle and worship. Whatever the case, their will always be some loner to roam the city.
If you choose to become a dirtbag you cannot make or join a pack unless you change your niche. Dirtbags roam the streets and outerlands without rules, able to be in contact with humans and stay alone or in a small, unorganized group. With freedom comes danger. If the constant threat of the island hazards don't get you, native packs will.
