No New Posts Grey Gardens

The biggest collection of houses in Coldmoor are found resting on a slight hill above town. The suburban area is surrounded by pale garden's, a human attempt of bringing some color into town, which die off every winter and replanted in the spring. Few car's travel silently down the streets, while house pets are tucked nicely into their homes. Farther down, one can see the corner store; which a old man has set up as half convenience, half butcher shop. Even farther, the neighborhood's park can be seen. Theirs lots to do there, but also poses a hazard while adults take their children to roam around.

No New Posts Downtown Coldmoor

In the main streets of the city, anything goes. Dirtbag canines roam the area, while the constant smell of fast food and exhaust fumes drift through the air. Walk-ways are dirty, shops are crowded, and if your looking for a quick meal you'll have to learn to fight for it. Down Albany Ave. one would find such places as the motel and casino; which would be crawling with humans in broad daylight. Things get pretty eeire walking around at night, so keep your guard up.

No New Posts Leith Harbor

The only harbor and route on and off the island lies on the east side of town. Great slabs of stone make the walkways, turned grey and green from the constant splash of sea water. Wooden piers reach out toward the sea, welcoming new visitors with cargo and equipment. If the constant clang & cling of tools doesn't drive you mad, the smell of rotten fish and salt will. It hangs heavy in the air like constant mold. One can also see the first ship to arrive to Henry, a ginormous machine of metal and gears sitting at the end of the harbor. Those who stay here don't stay long, and the only perminate guests are the seagulls who cry overhead. Though you can't expect to get free food and bed, seeing as most of the people here are hardy sailors, but if your willing to fight for it you'll be sure to find something.

No New Posts New St. Mercy's Hospital and Animal Clinic

Though it's not impressive, this is the largest hospital on site and the only one in fact. Due to a high demand of medical attention as soon as the new residence arrived, the facility was built in a rush. Leaving most of the third floor and back hallways dark, unfinished, and unused. While the sight of humans being rushed in and out is a normal site, next door is the animal clinic. Sick animals are treated and released, sometimes kept permanently. In the back though are the cages, large metal traps we're some unlucky, few dirtbags are forced to spend the rest of there days. If the smell of linoleum, disinfectant, and the dogcatcher doesn't scare you off, then have a happy stay at St. Mercy's.

No New Posts Coveton Trailer Retreat

There's always the upper and lower classes of society, and those stuck at the bottom make there home at the trailer park. Where pavement kisses bare ground, the dirt paths wind there way around timid, quiet homes. Christmas lights strung up around there metal enclosures set the park aglow. Here the neighborhood animals are able to roam free, often scoring free treats from kind-hearted strangers. Past the entrance leads to the much older houses, most fire damaged and beyond repair. How dangerous leaving a burner on can be. The flames consumed most of the old southern half leaving it a ghost town. Some old bats claim they still hear the cries of they're neighbors inside the scorched traps.

No New Posts Sherwood Glass Factory

Right next door to the city dump is the town's very own abandoned factory. Once supplies started to come in by sea, the use of the glass factory went obsolete. Humans, being lazy as they are, left the building to rot in the corner of town. But the building isn't just a scary, looming, eyesore; it's also home to many of the city's strays and creators with no place to go. While the downstairs is mostly flooded from the drainage of rainwater from the cemetery, the upstairs make the perfect living quarters for animals; having stray desks and chairs scattered about. From there you have a perfect view of Silentwood Cemetery, accessible threw the back doors of the building.

No New Posts Redway Boardwalk

The main source of entertainment is by the coast, of course. Humans and animals alike flock down to the salt water sea, lured in by the smell of hot dogs and fun & games. Birds cry from above, while people walk up and down the crowded pathways; dropping tasty treats along the way. Some animals, who like the sand between there toes, head toward the caves; hollowed rock shelters in the cliffs side. Later in the evening, when the surf and sand get cool, the Ferris wheel illuminates the night sky. Definitely a place to stay at well into the night.

No New Posts Eloise Church

Those who look for guidance and worship come here, if any. Near Iron Lake stands a cramped wooden structure, complete with its own vegetable garden and playground. Obviously in need of repair, but the city not able to afford it. Usually humans gather for daily worship, but later in the afternoon its parking lot is left vacant for visitors. Although the second floor is occupied by the preacher, the sheds in the back provide good shelter from natures fury. During the summer months witnesses report seeing groups of dogs gathering in the parking lot, duking it out like some kid of fight club...

No New Posts Silentwood

Not all of the island is moorland. Nearing inland is a small forest, untouched by human activity. Mostly made up of small pine and oak wood, it sticks out like a sore thumb in the middle of all the islands barren land. Like it's name hints, the woods are pretty silent and gloomy, the only signs of life quietly maneuver through the trees. Far back, to where most people wouldn't go is a modest small home. The owner, a cruel hermit, doesn't take too kindly to visitors. The smell of pig's blood and rank rotting stenches leak out of the home. Eventually at the other end of the woods takes you to footpaths that lead to the west. But very few travelers even make it that far.

No New Posts The Catacombs

Running underneath it all is a complex system of chambers used to bury the dead. Before the city was built it looked like these tunnels were already here, strange. The only entrances are from the north side of town, by grey gardens, and the southern, by Eloise. Unlit, the holes produce a fowl oder of rotting cloth and skin, scaring most visitors away. Tile decorates the walls until things start getting cooler and deeper, then tiles break off into dirt. Bodies of very ancient residents are already picked clean by rats and other pests. Regardless these corpses wouldn't be a tasty snack either. Though it provides a cool shelter, its very easy for one to get lost in the maze.

No New Posts Elizabeth's Isle

Swimming distance off the coast, and a stone throw out of town one can see a tiny island in the horizon. Some believe that the landmass broke off of Henry years ago, proving Henry island might be a sandbar with time. Up until two years ago the Ilse was kept secret until a innocent girl by the name of Elizabeth went to explore its beach. At the age of five, tiny Elizabeth drowned quickly in the salty sea, her parents only yards away at Redway. In honor the Ilse was dubbed Elizabeth, open to the public in her honor and memory. One can wade through the sandbars to its coast, getting a perfect view of the sunset. Be careful though, one wrong step and shallow water can turn head deep in a instant.

No New Posts The Blacklands

One of Henry's most dark and well kept secret lies at the westernmost part of the island. Hardly anyone knows when these buildings were built or even why they're here. Even fewer had seen them up close. If you've ever laid eyes on them you'll see a resemblance to Coldmoor's glass factory; cold, silent, eerie and abandoned. Most of the windows are broken out, the only entrance if your not willing to break down a boarded up door. But scaling the building can be tough, so follow some sly creatures who've dug a entrance to the basement. They're lots of rumors about what took place here; animal testing, experiments, operations. But not so much whats inside that bugs everyone, then whats coming out. For the most part, this is the main source of the new "disease" that's been appearing on the island. Closer, strange smells leak out. Even closer, one can here muffled voices or noises. Even closer then that, few have witnessed seeing shadows of strangers in the facilities. Be careful.

No New Posts Farmland Waste

Beyond the trees and grasses of the town, where the land turns frigid, are the wasteland farmhouses of Henry. Most of these wooden structures are abandon, they're only guest being small rodents making nests for the winter. Few stubborn farmers still make home on the farm and tend they're dwindling livestock. With little trees to shelter you, your a open target in the fields. With no shelter, temperatures drop low in the night, so animals are advised to find a way inside.

No New Posts Savage Garden

Like the outback to Australia, savage garden is the barren, unused wasteland of the island. Few trees scatter the area, making the the land built of mostly of bushes, shrubs and grass. Henry's native animals, if any for such a small island, call this place home, as well as those escaping the city life. Hiker's are seen, campers, as well as stray dogs and cats who come to enjoy the quiet side of Iron Lake. Those who choose to spend the night take a risk with the midnight predators. If not prepared you can be easily picked off by a hungry coyote or wolf. Theirs no mercy in the wilderness.

No New Posts Gor Abyss

Before Iron Lake channels into the ocean, is one of the islands few beautiful landmarks. The rivers connect in the middle and lunge over a steep hill forming two large falls. The waterfalls continue to plunge even in the winter, while most of the other bodies of water are frozen over. What gives Gor it's name is the pool by the fall's base, extremely murky and too deep for a pool its size. The depth suggests that their are underwater cave systems leading from under the island to the sea. Though this can't be proven now, any foolish volunteer can find out exactly how deep the abyss is by staring in too long.
